How do I send a birthday card online?

Choose a birthday design or upload your own, then add your message, photos, and music if you want them. Enter the birthday person's email address or phone number, along with anyone else who should receive the card, and send yourself a test to see how it opens. Then send it right away or schedule it for the morning of the birthday. You get a notification when it is delivered and when it is opened.

Is it free to send a birthday card?

For a card to one person, yes. Trial mode covers a mailing of up to 10 people at no cost, which covers the birthday person plus a few family members or coworkers signing along with you. Nothing here is funded by advertising, so there are no ads in the card, on the page, or in the email, which is the usual trade on free e-card sites. Past 10 people the mailing needs a paid package.

What happens if I send to more than 10 people?

You are prompted to upgrade before the mailing sends, and the card you have already built carries over. A single mailing is a flat one-time price starting at $19, set by the number of people you send to, with no subscription required and no per-guest charges. If you send cards and invitations through the year, an annual membership covers unlimited mailings for one year, each for a separate purpose.

Can I schedule a birthday card to arrive on the actual day?

Yes. Pick the date and time you want the card to go out and Greenvelope sends it for you, so you can set it up weeks ahead and still have it land on the morning of the birthday. Scheduling is the main reason people move birthday cards online: no trip to the store, no mail lead time, and no risk of forgetting on the day itself.

What should I do if I already missed the birthday?

Send it today. A digital card has no print or mail lead time, so a card chosen this afternoon can be read this afternoon, which is why a late online card usually beats an on-time paper one that never got mailed. Lead with the belated part instead of apologizing your way through it, then say the thing you actually wanted to say.

Can I add photos, music, or my own design to a birthday card?

Yes to all three. Add photos to most designs, upload a song or clip to play when the card opens, and change fonts, colors, and layout on any designer template. If you would rather use something you made yourself, upload it as a .jpg, .png, or PDF with Upload Your Own Design and it still arrives inside the animated envelope.

How does Greenvelope calculate people?

Each person (with or without email) added to the mailing list counts as (1) person. For example, "The Smith Family" of John, Jill, Tim, and Lauren would count as (4) people.

What if I am unsure how many people I need?

In this case, we recommend purchasing a smaller package initially. You can then easily purchase additional people from within your mailing on an as needed basis.

Can I send in multiple batches?

Greenvelope allows you to resend invitations or send invitations to new contacts at any time.

What if I need multiple versions of my card?

The best way to set this up would be to have two different mailings. You will need to purchase a separate "single mailing" package for each version.

Do you offer RSVP tracking?

Can I also send my invitations via text message?

What if I need to update my invitation after I've sent it?

You can do that! One of the many benefits of digital invitations is that you can add additional information, update your card, or quickly follow-up with guests with ease.

Can I send a sample to myself?

Yes! When you arrive at the 'Send' step after designing your mailing, your account information will automatically be added so you can easily send yourself a test and make sure everything looks exactly how you want it.
